Abstract
Hoy Ecuador tiene que ir camino hacia la adopción de una cultura tributaria, es necesario insistir en el intento de la concientización, más aún cuando de por medio se encuentra nuestra idiosincrasia, no tanto como un desmedro de nuestra autoestima sino por la ancestral costumbre por la evasión, por tanto, el tributo visto desde la acepción pura de la palabra es un imperativo de las sociedades civilizadas, donde todos conscientemente debemos contribuir con el estado para mejorar el nivel de vida. El tributo es un gravamen que data desde siglos atrás, incluso hay citas bíblicas que así lo expresan. Hasta Jesucristo
se refirió a él y cuando le pidieron su opinión expresó: “Dad al César lo que es del César y a Dios lo que es de Dios”.
