Abstract
Se establece un nexo entre política económica y crecimiento económico, los cuales apuntan a la selección de una estrategia. Es materia de política que hasta lo ambiental puede mejorar si es que se destinan recursos económicos a aquella, lo cual da origen a un círculo virtuoso. Se incorpora a este círculo el comercio internacional como generador y proveedor de recursos. Nos interesa medir en este sentido la equidad con la que los recursos son asignados, la apertura comercial, importándonos saber cuán grande es la demanda de recursos naturales por parte de las naciones industrializadas, que puedan soportar las naciones en vías de desarrollo ya que ésta afecta la relación de los términos de intercambio, el medio ambiente, originando un desequilibrio económico entre las naciones.
