Pedagogy of alterity. Questioning the ontology of education

Abstract

This paper seeks to highlight the insufficiencies of educational reflection based on the ontology, because it represents a way of attaching the educational act to forms of totality that produces exclusion. The ontology is not able to think what is radically “other”. Furthermore, this ontological thought has sustained the colonial matrix of power. To leave the ontology, its important recovery the “face to face” experience through some of the arguments of the Philosophy of the Liberation.
