Abstract
El estudio del lenguaje tiene un campo específico que, durante muchos siglos, antes de la segunda mitad del s. XX no había presentado mayor interés en relación a la cognición. En este trabajo se presenta un análisis preciso sobre la incidencia del lenguaje para la cognición, y la implicación de ambos en la educación. Sobre el lenguaje hay muchas investigaciones así como de la cognición, pero por separado antes del siglo mencionado; en la actualidad diversos estudios confirman que ambos elementos no se tratan por separado porque conforman parte de un todo, del cerebro. En éste hay procesos específicos, actividad que se muestra desde el contenido lingüístico para el procesamiento de la información. Específicamente se estudia el lenguaje como elemento constitutivo de la cognición para afianzar el conocimiento, esto sólo puede evidenciarse desde lo práctico, en el desarrollo evolutivo del ser humano.
